Players compete to build the Spanish wonder of Alhambra, acquiring money to purchase palace pieces to add to their structures.
Each turn you decide whether to take a currency note, or purchase one of the available palace pieces. When buying palace pieces you recieve no change, but if you have the exact amount, you are allowed another turn.
Players receive points during scoring rounds for having the majority of a type of palace piece and for the longest city wall. A balance must be maintained between gaining money and palace pieces and how efficiently the money and palace pieces are used.
An excellent game that draws on the strengths of many others and is ideal for those who like building and resource games.
